Well there we have it. Fall has finally graced us with her presence here in San Francisco. And I don’t mean Indian Summer that lasts about 3 weeks where we all pretend it’s actually normal to have a summer that last three weeks, while dying from not being able to function in our non air conditioned homes.
To tickle your memory, check out my previous post for Part 1 of our Montana adventure.
On hike day Chelsea kept telling us we had a ‘casual hike’ planned for the day, “just a couple of miles”. Plan was to head to Glacier National Park to explore a shit-ton of nature. It was 90 degrees in Whitefish, so I put on my tank and tennis skort and we took the giant Escalade up the mountain.
Things I heard from people when I told them I’m going to Whitefish, Montana:
• EW! Why?
• Haha, yeah right!
• It’s so beautiful there!!!
• Make sure to pack bear and bug spray
• OMG you have to go to Glacier!
• I never pictured you as the fly fishing type
I happen to live in a part of the world that offers some of the best hiking trails. You don’t have to leave San Francisco to hike the Presidio or other parks and trails located in our city. Drive about 15-30 minutes out of the city and find miles upon miles of pure perfection. Either ocean views, beaches, redwoods or waterfalls, the Bay Area has it all!
